I am using Office 2007 Pro. My antiviras is Trend Micro Internet Security Pro.
I am exoeriencing difficulty with sending attachments from Microsoft
Outlook, The detail tells me that it is sending the message and sometimes it
will say sending 5 of 5 messages when i am only trying to send one. Then when
i look in my sent folder i don't find the message as sent. However, i have on
occasion had the recipient call me and tell me to stop sending as they have
recieved 20 or 30 and even up to 60 e-mails from me. Again, my sent folder
has not shown the message as sent and the message is still sitting in the out
box. Any advise. I am so fed up that i am seriously considering going over to
windows mail.

Are you scanning outgoing mail with trend? if so, disable it. Scanning
outbound mail for viruses is not necessary and often causes this problem.

Thank you. I was scanning outgoing mail but i have now disabled it. I will
see if this works. I am also scanning incomming e-mail, is that okay.

incoming mail is usually not a problem, although you may lose message
bodies. It's not necessary though - if you try to open the infected
messages you'll be warned.

I am afraid this has not worked. I am still experiencing an irrigular message
when i send mail. I composed and sent a single mail without attachments and
my send/recieve dialog tells me that it is sending 5 of 5 messages and it
just rolls and rolls for ever before the message actually is sent.

how many accounts are in the profile? There is a counting bug in 2007 that
increments the number of messages based on the # of accounts. But the
message gets sent once - so its not the cause of the multiple messages.

I have 5 accounts and they are all pop3 accounts. Would that also result in
the attachments being sent in a continous loop and not showing in the sent
items?

No, it shouldn't cause the sending problems but it does explain the counting
problem. The problem with the message sent multiple times is usually caused
by an email scanner.
