Can someone advise on how to transfer an address book
from outlook express to microsoft outlook and vise versa.

Both Outlook Express and Outlook have Import/Export options. You'll need to
tell us what versions you have of both programs if you want step-by-step
instructions, as the menus/dialogues will be different for each version.

In Outlook 2000, you can goto File -> Import/Export -> Import Internet Mail
and Addresses -> Outlook Express
