Microsoft Office Outlook Connector

O

Octavio

When I open Outlook (2007) now to send and receive e-mails, I get the
Microsoft Office Outlook Connector asking me for the password. I type it,
and then it disappears, but if I don't and dismiss it, then the dialog
appears again after a while.

I don't recall to have seen this dialog before about one or two days ago. I
opened my Outlook and worked with it occasionally bafore, but it is only now
that I get it all the time.

What is this Outlook Connector about? Why it is appearing now and not
before? (A setting controls it?)

I use also MSN Dialup, but I am using Outlook 2003 now for most of the
e-mailings.

Thanks in advance.

It is required to get MSN mail in Outlook if you don't use POP3 to get it.
It brings in your MSN calendar and contacts too.

If you have Outlook configured to connect to MSN using POP3, you can remove
the MSN MAPI account in Tools, Accounts.

If I remove the MAPI account, will I be able to receive and send e-mails
with MSN, or only with Outlook? What will happen?
If I remove MAPI, will my browner still be MSN?

If you remove the MSN account from Outlook, you will be able to access MSN
only with your web browser.
