Microsoft office 2003 will not open documents, says unavailable.

Could someone please tell me what to do when Microsoft office will not open
documents or folders, and tells me that the documents are unavailable?

MS Office is not an application. It does not "open documents & folders."
You'll have to explain what you are trying to do. For instance--If you click
