how do i determine if i have sr1 or sr1a in microsoft office 2000 if i have
wireless networking?
 
this is just a long shot, but how about, in ms office,
help menu-> "About"?

Regardless of the type of networking you have, simply open any Office
application and click Help > About. The version number and updates will
be displayed.
