how do i get my microsoft newsgroup account back. evidently i have deleted
it. now that i know what they are i would like to read them again.

Hmmm...I hope I'm understanding your question. Just enter Microsoft's news
server address in your newsreader (msnews.microsoft.com) account setup
section and complete the rest of the account information (make up a name and
e-mail address, etc.) and that's it. There's no username/password if that is
what you were worried about.

Tools > Accounts, Add button, Newsgroup Account, next, enter Display name, next,
enter E-mail (phony) address, next, News (NNTP) server: msnews.microsoft.com

Thanks, I needed to be pointed in the direction of the nntp server. Brain
started working after seeing that.

Is msnews.microsoft.com the same as the Microsoft Communities that come with
Vista's Windows Mail ?
I use to use msnews.microsoft.com in XP with Outlook Express. Since I got
Vista I have been using Microsoft Communities and found all in it that I had
subscribed to in XP and wondering if I am missing some or not.

Thanks

Yes, it's the same.
