Microsoft.NET error message

I just recently obtained a new Dell Deminison 4550 2.3
Ghz P4 with Win XP (self loading). I am new to Win XP so
I did not understand the error that I started receiving
after a few days of use.

"C:\WINDOWS\Microsft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705.dll could
not load"

Does this mean that some thing has happen to my operating
sysem and something has gotten corrupted, do I need to
reload my system? Any assistance would be very gratfully
accepted.

It's hard to say because we don't know your system. .NET Framework is not a
part of XP's installation. There was a recent update from Windows Update
that installed it and that might be the issue. However, I'm reluctant to
tell you to check or even remove it without knowing what Dell loaded on your
setup.

This is a new machine and you should contact Dell Tech Support.

Hi Don,

..Net = Go to Add/Remove and remove the .NET framework there. To reinstall
..NET Framework go to: www.microsoft.com/net or from the windows update site.
