Why not download the driver from the manufacturer of your modem instead of
trying to use the one that Microsoft is giving out?

Hi Shenan,
can you suggest any link. moreover how do i figure out which particular
modem i have?
thanks

I assume you purchased this PC, so you must have a receipt, manual or at
least the opportunity to open the machine up (with it off of course) and see
what the brand/model of the modem is. However, if the modem is/was
semi-functional, the following software may help identify it:

Belarc Advisor

EVEREST Home Edition

Thanks!!

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
