Microsoft Logo requirements

It was stated in an earlier post (April 2003) that "Help integration and
tool tip requirements will be waived for managed applications". -
Nothing changed.


In August 2003 Handbook, page 4, lists Updates since May Version and
states that (among other )
- No File Menu Item
- No User-Exposed Method for Closing the Application
requirements are removed.

Later on in page 9, both above requirements are there!

Can Microsoft give an answer?

Page 15 contains a list of those requirements which are exempt for .NET
Compact Framework applications. These include Tooltips and Help
requirements.

That's an interesting discrepancy, and maybe it explains why SQLCE
Query Analyzer has a "File Exit" menu option.

I too would be interested to hear from MS on this.

I think that's where the mystery lies. I'm certainly no clearer on these.
