Microsoft latest security patch

This was on my email this morning, it said to download
the attachment for the latest security patch. However,
Norton has removed the attachment because it has a 'bug'
so what do I do now? Getting in touch directly with
microsoft if next to impossible. Any ideas anyone?

Alice,

Although Microsoft sends notices and announcements regarding patches via
email, it **Never** sends the actual patches as attachments. The
attachment in this email contains a virus, so delete the email and any other
similar ones that follow.

This email is a hoax that has been around for quite a while, and you are
probably getting it now because your email address is in the email address
book of someone who has opened the attachment and caught the virus.
