Microsoft Keyboard 2000 UBS to PS/2 adapter

Hi all,

I have a Microsoft Curve Keyboard 2000 with USB connector, and would
like to plug it into a KVM Switch which has PS/2 input.

I have tried several USB to PS/2 adapters, and none of them works.
People from hardware stores told me that these kind of adapters use to
work well with mouses, but not with keyboards. They adviced me to get
one directly from Microsoft.

Does anyone know how to get it? I am in Madrid, Spain.

Thanks a lot.

You seem to have discovered that a lot of the USB to PS/2 adapters not
always compatible. Unless the keyboard system was originally provided
with an USB to PS/2 adapter, Microsoft may not have an adapter for
it. You may have to consider replacing the PS/2 based KVM with a USB
model.

I don't believe it has anything to do with the adapter that you are using,
it's the keyboard. I you check in any store you will notice that keyboards
and mice come with several interface combinations. They will say either
usb, ps2 or usb/ps2, obviously you need the later. I use a kvm switch and
use usb to ps2 adapters on both of my mice or mouse's (not sure what's
appropriate english here) and they work just fine.
