Microsoft Free live online scan

Is Microsoft now requiring a contract and charges for the subject? I've used
it many times in the past and don't remember having to agree to a contract
which has language about fees and charges. Thanks
 
Are you talking about "Live OneCare"?

I think the online scan/check is free, but you still have to sign up/login
with a MS Passport account, or whatever.....but Live OneCare is a package
you have to purchase.
