Microsoft Equation Editor - Annoying spacing

S

sinth

Microsoft equation editor displays my equation in a messy manner.

For example (sample equation):

Total Assets = Total Liabilites + Owners Equity

Will display in this manner:

Tot al Ass ets = Total Lia ilites + O ners Equ ity

Why does is do this and what can I do to fix/avoid this happening?

Cheers!

Do you have the text formatted as Text rather than Math, Function, Variable,
etc.?

Hi Suzanne,

Thanks for the response.

I have tried changing the style to "text, math, function" etc but it
has no effect.

When I am editing the text in the object it looks fine. It's only when
I click elsewhere in the docuent (ie. the object is no longer
selected) that the spacing comes into play.

The below example I gave doesn't work. Here is one that actually plays
up:

"Interest and investment income" looks like "int erest and investment
income"
