Microsoft Equation 3.0

on the insert menu,click object;select Microsoft Equation
3.0;

when I bring the equation window up I get the equation
toolbar; I am able to select the symbols I need from the
toolbar; when I try to type in the numbers or variables I
get the following: EQNEDT32 caused an invalid page fault
in module EQNEDT32.EXE at 015fi0042e270; etc;

I am using windows 98 and word 97.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your help!!!! I followed your
instructions and the problem with Microsoft Equation 3.0
is solved!! I have already reviewed Math type, by Design
Science and will do some more work here. Thanks Again,
