Microsoft Application Recovery

I don't have anything under the Microsoft Application Recovery....does
anybody know why?

I'm trying to recover/repair Outlook 2007 - right after it opens, it closes
down with the following message: "Microsoft Outlook 2007 encountered a
problem and needs to close. We apologize for any inconvenience."

I'm trying to recover the program through the Application Recovery but I
don't have a list (there's nothing there). Please help.

Check your application event viewer for Office and/or Outlook error
messages.
Post the EventID number, source, and the body of the error message.

Have you tried Detect and Repair from the Help menu?

When did the problem start happening? Did it ever work before?

Also, as a test open Outlook in safe mode:

Start > Run > outlook.exe /safe

Does it still close down with an error?

What app recovery tool is this? Office 2007 has its own office diagnostics
tool and may not be listed in the GUI for other tools. The one shipped with
office 2003/2002 won't work with office 2007.
