Microsoft AntiSpyware

I'm not sure if this is posted in the right place, but is it true that
Windows Defender (beta) is the upgrade to Microsoft Antispyware and that when
you try to download Microsoft Antispyware you get the download for Windows
Defender? Just curious.

Not only is it true, but they were/are BETAs!
Yay - you can test software whose code is not finalized (admittedly) from
Microsoft.

Personally - I would not put it on any system that is not fully backed up
often or that has any important data on it (for me.)
