Microsoft AntiSpyware will not run

I downloaded the program. It downloaded just fine. It is
running in my taskbar, but when I try to open it up to
run a scan, etc it will not open for me. I have
uninstalled and re-installed several times.

Rather than uninstalling and installing, can you try an update?

Control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change, update
