Microsoft antispyware beta

I have installed the program and it runs according to the
scheduled time but it never finds any spyware or anything
else either. It always comes up with zero found. Have I
done something wrong. I am running XP pro with 512 ram
and a 3 gig processor with lots of hard drive left.

This version will only return the really big problems,
but it won't return things like tracking cookies. This
might be addressed in a later beta version (likely Beta2).

In the mean time, running another antispyware program
such as Ad-Aware SE Personal is a good thing to do. You
can download it from download.com. Running a scan with
both at the same time will likely slow the system to an
absolute snails pace though. Run one scan with one and
then the other, as this will liekly result in a better
chance of finding every infected item.
