microsoft antispyware (beta 1)missing spyware

I am using the microsoft anti spyware(beta 1)on my computer
I had previously used SpyHunter but decided to try your product to avoid any
compatibility issues
I ran the Microsoft antispyware scanwhich showed NO spyware detected
My machine was running really sluggishly so I ran the spyhunter
it detected MANY problems - some cookies but worse some harmful spyware in
the registry
I ran the removal tool on spyware hunter and the computer efficiency
increased significantly
Is it possible that your productis not working properly for some reason?

MSAS is possibly misconfigured due to the fact the you have Spy Hunter installed.
See note, here;

I would recommend fully uninstalling it from Add/Remove Programs, reboot
and run another scan with MSAS.
Follow the FAQ if you are not sure how to fully configure the program.

I have had the same problem. I completely uninstalled ad-aware from my
computer and installed MS Anti-Spyware, within a couple of days it stopped
showing any spyware and I started receiving un-ending pop-ups (even with
pop-up blocker) and have had other issues. I have just uninstalled MSAS and
have re-installed Ad-Aware, Already 75 critical object found and the scan is
still running. I have made certain to update both the version and definitions
file. I'll wait until msas closes all the holes and then maybe try it again.
for now i'm sticking with ad-aware.

Connie, I am sure that almost all of what MSAS didn't find are Cookies.
MSAS doesn't search for cookies. Also no two anti spyware programs will
always come up with the same things. It is advisable to run 2 differnt
anti-spyware programs to take care of this situation.
Hope this explains things.
