Microsoft announces new version of XP

"Microsoft is making strides in shield technologies and distributed
firewalls, Ballmer added. "That's an area where we're really cranking up,"
he said. "We announced that we'll do a new release of Windows XP, a new
release of Windows Server 2003, to incorporate some of these technologies"

Hard to say. Microsoft has introduced new functionality with service packs
in the past, but it could also end up being another Win 98SE or Win 95 OSR 2
situation too.
