I just bought my father in law a microsoft 4000 wireless keyboard with mouse.
He has a computer that was built, by a private owner, it has windows xp home
edition with SP 3. He just called me & said that he is able to use the mouse
but not the keyboard. However, when I asked him to hit the windows key he
said the start menu did pull up but he was not able to type any thing in an
email or on word. He said the computer is recognizing both mouse & keyboard.
I am going over there tomorrow but just wanted to see if anyone else has had
any problems with this and if so what were the solutions. I did google it &
from what I could read someone had a problem with the BIOS settings & had to
enable a USB from there. (I definitely dont want him messing with that)!! I
told him to reboot and he did several times & it still didnt work. Any and
all help is greatly appreciated. God Bless!
