XP SP2.
I am using the Microsoft 2000 Wireless Desktop. I found a problem was many
times when I click the mouse on the button of screens (Browser or Windows
Explorer screen button, whatever), it seems did not press the button or
select the file on Windows Explorer. It also happens when I click the
'X'(close), '-'(minimixe) or 'restore' on the top right hand corner of the
screen, it did not get pressed.

I don't know it's the Mouse problem.

The way to find out if it's a mouse problem is to:

1. Put fresh batteries in your wireless mouse and test. If that doesn't
help...

2. Try a different mouse. If that solves the problem, discard the original
mouse. They don't last forever.

Besides batteries, reposition the mouse antenna (the part that plugs to the
USB). Make sure the antenna is not close to
any noise (radiation) generating device.
