I currently have Outlook express as my default e-mail but
everytime I try to conect through a link on a website I
receive the option to crate a exchenge profile. No matter
what I try it does not work. Before installing Express I
tried to install Microsoft Outlook and I think it is
still looking for exchange information. Can someone tell
me how to remove it completely.

Open Internet Explorer and select Tools | Internet Options. Go to the
programs tab and ensure that Outlook Express is set as your default mail
client. (Your default address book should be the Windows Address Book and
not Microsoft Outlook.)

If you truly wish to uninstall Microsoft Outlook, you need to go thru the
add/remove applet in the control panel. (it will be listed separately or it
will be part of Microsoft Office)

I tried what you are suggesting but mail client will not
allow me to update it. It is grayed out. Microsft Outlook
was completely removed.

odd, what operating system are running? (if windows 2000 or xp, please
provide service pack level)

Service Pack:- WinXP is updated, critical updates?
Is Outlook, not Express, shown in Add/Remove dialogue?
Did you try to install Outlook with the Office Suite or as a stand alone
App?
