microphone

i have this sony headset and it has been workin fine so far.

i am tryin to record something but there is no sound being picked up, yes it
is pluged in and i am pretty sure it isn't broken. This has happened before
once and i fixed i by using system restore, but this time i am not sure when
the mic was working last so i can't use that method.

does anyone have any way to fix this?

Hey mojo, what kind of sound card do you have? Have you tried updating the
drivers?

well i found the problem

a bloody loose wire inside the headset, although i had to break my way in.
