Microphone problems

Hi, am having some trouble with my voice/microphone, have
checked all volume controls and recording control, nothing
i am able to find is muted, all wizards indicate the sound
card is working fine, however they all say something is
diabled and preventing voice from working. When trying to
run the wizards i can hear voice through my desktop
speakers and headset speakers, however computer does not
register any voice activity, any suggestions?

I had that same problem and it was caused by my firewall.
After I shut it down I was able to ear the voice of my
friend. If you have a firewall shut it down and try
again. Since I know the firewall is blocking it I want to
know which port does messenger use for the audio chat so
I can let the firewall give access to this port for
messenger.
