Microphone inputs not functioning.

Hello, I have a new systemax PC...one week old. The
mike inputs will not function. When I run the sound
hardware test wizard and test the mike I get: Windows
cannot execute DpvSetup.exe use add/remoce program
control panel to install. I also get an error occurred
during direct play voice setup: Error code :0X80004005.
I've looked up the knowledge base articles on these items
and could not find my fix. All sound drivers and equip.
says they are enabled and functioning properly. Has
anyone else experienced such a problem and found a
solution?
