Microphone disable

L

Larry

Setting up a IBM Thinkpad 600x Running MS 2000 pro.
Whenever I play any audio file I get a high pitched sound
that drowns out the audio source. I believe its feedback
from the built in microphone, but can't figure out how to
disable / turn off the microphone.

Any suggestions

Hi
Open up the control panel and select Sounds and audio devices. In the
Volume tab click advanced for device volume.
On the popup you should see the volume control for the mic which you can
mute as well.
Hope this helps,
Regds
