I get error meaages with an mft file and I get the following error messages:

Windows - delayed write error. windows was unable to save all the data for
the file D:\system volume information. This data has been lost. This error
maybe caused by a harware failure or network connection. Please try to save
te data else where.

Is the D drive a removable media? If so, it appears it is being
disconnected prior to whatever application accessing it is finished with it.
I have seen this where AV protection may still try one last root scan at
shutdown.

If I were to get that message, I'd figure something was wrong with the
Hard drive.

Start | Run <type in> devmgmt.msc <enter>

Go to your hard drive (D drive) properties, Policies, and turning off
"enable write caching" if it's on, might help.

This is one of my hardrives (2nd hardrive). I've done virus checks and the PC
seems to be clean

What is 'enable write caching'. I've also been having a bit of trouble with
my wireless broadband receiver, would this have anything to do with the
problem?
