Delayed Write Failed

I get the an intermittent error "Delayed Write Failed.
Windows was unable to save all the data for th file
G:$mft. The data has been lost. This errir may be
caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network
connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere"

Knowledge base article 321733 addresses the error, but
the event log is not the same problem, nor the problem in
the registry found. I can't wait until the next service
pack to fix this. Any help?

Don't hold your breath waiting for a fix for the Delayed Write Failed bug. I
looked at the list of fixes scheduled for SP2 and this problem isn't one of
them. Seems to be mostly security hole patches.
