Hi !

Anyone knows how to fix a MFT record error ? WIN XP NTFS drive
When I tried to run Norton Ghost recently, I received the message: Could not
read used MFT record - run CHKDSK.

I tried with the tools that are avaible in WIN XP
but the error remains

Would be very greatful for assistance !

You may want to try booting from the XP CD disk and from the Recovery
Console, use "fixmbr" (no quotes) at the command line.

That has nothing *Whatever* to do with the MFT in an NTFS file system.

A bad record in that will hopefully be associated with a specific file,
but it may be difficult to track down which particular one, if CHKDSK
does not fix the matter
