i get an mfc42.dll error when opening dell picture studio. i've tried deleting this particular dll. i've even reloaded xp but i still get this error. help would be very much appreciated.
Your situation could be either of three things:
1. The MFC42.DLL file is not registered. To register, run
at a command line "regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32
\mfc42.dll"
2. The software in question points to the wrong path. Try
copying MFC42.DLL into %systemroot%\system.
3. The software in question has incompatibilites with
Windows XP. You may need to contact Dell for information
and updates.
