messenger error report keeps popping up

I'm seeing this small window popping up every cuple of
seconds/minutes with the name "messenger" on the
top. It has this windows messenger icon on the top right
(two green dummies).
it said on bold : messenger has encountered a problem and
needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. If
you were in the middle.........etc. Please tell
microsoft... etc.

I choose send error report once but it keeps coming back.
I choose dont send over and over again with no result,
the window keeps popping up and disturbs all my work, on
and off line both in or off windows programs.

I've tried disabling windows messenger but it does pop
up all the time and whenever I use outlook or when I
manually open windows messenger.

error signature:
AppName: msmsgs.exe AppVer: 4.7.0.2009
ModName: rtcdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1351 Offset: 0000aed3

COuld this be an error or else?
Help me please, it irritates me so much and I try not to
re-install since I will lose everything (except saved
files)

Thanks.

So I'm not the only one who's having this problem.

Anxiously awaiting the solution."

I suspect this is a kind of new spyware, adware, virus or
such that effects windows messenger.

Update: I've tried enabling firewall, disabling messenger
and get the latest spybot s&d, ad-ware, shredder, stinger
and antivirus running over and over again and did not
find the culprit (even though I managed to get rid of
many, many spyware and such). I note that this error
effects outlook and will cripple partially your e-mail
ability.
