After a recent upgrade to Outlook 2003 we are having a prroblem that if a
message is sent to multiple recipients then it is sent multiple times (2
recipients - each one gets it twice, 5 recipients - each one gets it 5
times), this happens regardless of attachements.

If there is only one recipient then they only receive the message once.

Can anyone help?

what mail server and are all of the recipients on your server?

If any of the recipients are using SBS2003 with a POP3 connector, see

Hi Diane,

Thanks for your answer.

We are using MDaemon (v8.0.2) and the problem is happening with both
internal and external recipients.

Are you scanning outgoing mail with an antivirus program? If so, disable it
and lengthen the Server Timeout value on the Adbavced tab of your account
properties pages.

Hi Brian,

I have switched off outbound mail scanning on the local machine and
increased the Server Timeout Value to 10 minutes, unfortunately this has not
helped. We are using Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition v9.

Thanks, Dominic

You may have to uninstall the AV program and reinstall without the mail
scanning feature in order to truly turn it off.
