Messages marked as [SPAM]

I'm a brand new Vista user and attempting to understand what's going on with
Vista Mail

I subscribe to a number of Yahoo groups and all the messages are marked
[SPAM]. What setting do I use to turn this off? Or do I need to install
the Outlook from Office 2003 I was using on my previous computer?

nothing built into vista does this.
either your virus program , firewall, or ISP is doing it.

This might be caused by an antispam software on your PC or by the server
of your email provider. Windows Mail does not do that. However, do you
find messages marked as Spam which actually are not? Because if not, then
you might use this to your advantage and create a email message rule,
moving all emails with [Spam] in the subject line to a special folder
or even delete them at sight.

Thanks for the prompt response. It must be the installed McAfee that is doing it. I'll try to reconfigure

mcafee is NOT compatible with vista.
best to get rid of it and use either
avg or avast.

you will need to use the uninstaller from the mcafee web site to do a proper uninstall.
