Messages in Outlook 2003 are received with blank message area

Some of the messages I'm sending out from Outlook 2003 SP2 are being received
with normal headers and attachments by the recipient, but a blank messsage
area. This is on an internal network, where everyone has the same setup. I
send normal text only message to four users. Two of them can read the
message, tow of them see it as blank. If I right click on the blank mesage
and choose View source, I can see all the text and formatting is there. If I
click on reply or forward, the text suddenly appears. Mails from other users
appear on these machines normally. So, an odd state of affairs I can't
resolve.
Unlike earlier posts, we're not using AVG -we use Sophos on all machines.
I have done a repair on Office and changed the fonts I use (12pt Arial) but
no change.

When you start Outlook in safe mode does the text show then?
Also if you open the mailbox on another computer (as a delegate) do you see
the text then?

Starting in safe mode makes no difference -text still blank.
Opening the same mail on another PC - the mail is now readable!
(Not sure what you mean by 'as a delegate', probably because we don't use
Exchange, but I set up a new account on a different PC and loaded the pst
file and all the mails from me were now visible).
Which implies it's something on the PC -but what? The two Pcs it's happening

Alright, that is good info to work with :)

What add-ins do you have installed for Outlook? If your virus scanner
integrates with Outlook or acts as a mail proxy disable this functionality
and try again.

Also in what message format are the messages? HTML or Plain Text? Does it
make a difference? If it is not the virus scanner and this behavior is only
for HTML message I'm thinking that there might be a problem with the
rendering of HTML on those machines. Updating/reinstalling Internet Explorer
might do the trick then.

Thanks
I have an add-ins called Redemption helper which I beleive is required for
Workgroupshare, an addin for sharing calendars.
My virus checker does not integrate with Outlook.
My emails are in HTML format (as are everybody elses)
As to IE versions -my Pc and one which receives my mail corectly are both
6.0.2900.2180xpsp-sp2-gdr.050301-1519. The two which receive the blank mails
are 6.0.2900.2180.050301-1521. All Pcs are set for automatic update, so why
are these 2 different and what is the significance of the extra sp2-gdr
suffix? I have manually run the check for updates feature, and none are
found.

I have sorted this myself- I checked for updates on my browser (Mozilla
1.0.5) and found there was a more recent one (v 1.5.0.4) so I downloaded it.
After that my mails are no longer blank! Very odd, and I've no idea why this
should have resulted in only some machines receiving my mails as blank, but
it's resolved.
