Messages deselected during "Move to folder"

I imported/exported my e-mails from Outlook XP SP3 to a new computer with the
same version of Outlook. On the new computer, when I right-click on an e-mail
and choose "Move to folder", the e-mail is deselected while I choose which
folder to send it to, so I am unable to see which e-mail(s) I'm moving. On my
old computer (and every other computer I've used with Office XP) it stays
selected so I can see which e-mail I am moving. How can I change it so that
the message stays selected when I'm moving it? Clicking and dragging isn't a
good alternative, as the "move to folder" option is far more efficient when
dealing with mass amounts of folders.

Thanks, but that can't really be done at this point. I've been
sending/receiving e-mail through the new PST file for over a week now, and
merging the two doesn't seem like much of an option. It doesn't seem to be
the PST file at fault though, it seems like more of a global outlook setting,
since it would do the same thing if I created a new account in outlook.

You should never export and import Outlook information unless you want to
lose or damage it. This is one of the countless examples.
Go back and transfer your data correctly. Just copy and reuse the Outlook
data file. Help file tell you how to migrate data correctly:

It is not an Outlook setting. It's what happened to the properties of the
Outlook Items when you exported and imported them. There is a slim chance
that repairing the PST file might help.

Repairing found some "minor discrepencies", which were fixed, but the problem
still remains. There's nothing I can do to fix it at this point?

Either way, thanks for all your input Russ, it's appreciated.

You can see if the /cleanviews or /resetfolders switches will do anything.
