Message Rules

Off late (last couple of months), whenever I close windows mail and then
restart it (windows mail), the message rules I have created are deleted
automatically. I have to create all rules again. This keeps happening every
time. This was not the case earlier.

Can someone advise, what could be the problem?

I am using Vista and Office 2007, with Bit defender as anto virus program.

That indicates that some 3rd party program is preventing changes to the
registry, since the rules are in the Registry. So try going to Start |
Search and type msconfig and then disable startup items to see which is at
fault. Its probably either the antivirus or antispyware.
