message on startup

how do i get in to the registry to delete a file that is
part of a program that has been deleted I get a notice at
windows startup that it can not find this program. Hope
you can help

type msconfig in run. See if its in there.
(under startup).

If so, delete it and reboot Frank.

Or it maybe under program files/startup

Depends on what it is. In most cases, these errors are remnants of spyware
or a virus. Know the difference before you proceed. Good luck!
