Message on start icon

When I point to start, a message appears which says New
Programs installed. When the program screen opens, the
two new programs are slightly colored. They both work
OK. How can I stop the message. Thanks

Try if t his helps you out:
Rightclick 'Start'-button, choose Properties/Start-menu
tab/Customize/Advanced tab/ and uncheck 'highlight newly installed programs'

Right click start, properties, customize, advanced tab, uncheck: highlight
newly installed programs.
