Message Default

How do I change the formating of the default message
(template?) that appears when I go to compose a new e-
mail message? ( Word as Editor and HTML as format - I am
using system stationary).

I would like to change the default font and especially
the default paragraph spacing that is now appearing
as "Auto" but is effectively double spaced??
