Merging mailing list for labels

Guest

I have a large mailing list of almost 1900 names but when I create the labels
in Word it only displays and prints one sheet/page. I have checked the
entire data base but for some reason only get one page of 30 names. I'm
using 2002 and have done this same mailing for the last 3 years with no
problem.

I don't mean to ask an obvious question, since you indicated you been using
Mail Merge for quite some time, but some things just need to be ruled out
first. :) Did you use the Merge to New Document command?

Thank you for such a prompt reply. I think I found the problem. I was
using the print command both from the task bar and the file>print. When I
followed the Wizard and clicked on the print command I noticed it said "merge
to printer" rather than just print. When I did that it worked. Using any
other print command apparently only allowed the currently displayed page to
print even though I checked "all".

Again, thank you for such a prompt reply.

Yes, that does sound like you found the problem. :) Using the Print command
on the Toolbar or menu only sends the current page to the printer, which is
the Main document used for layout purposes, it doesn't actually perform the
merge and print the merged result.
