menu toolbars

Is there a way to always show all of the menu items so I don't have to click
the expand arrows? I know once a command is used it is put into the
frequently-used commands category, but I always seem to have to click the
arrows, and I'd rather it just show all fo the items all of the time. The
hide feature is VERY irritating.

Click on Tools | Customize and click on the Options tab and then select Show
Standard and Formatting toolbars on two rows and Always Show Full Menus.
