When I click on start/programes, the list that appears, some of it is to
close to the screen edge, I need to re-center, move it a little or make it
smaller.

How do I find out what version of Outllook Express I have?
Manythanks

You could increase the screen resolution.

Steps
-----
Right-click on your Desktop, then select Properties. Now use the Settings
tab.

Or you could try small icons.

Steps
-----
Right-click on your Taskbar, then select Properties.
Select Start Menu (tab)
Select Start menu (button)
Click Customize (button)
Select Small Icons (radio button)
Click OK (twice)

Select HELP from the Toolbar and click on About Microsoft Outlook Express.

Sandal, to find out what Version of Outlook Express you have next time
you're there select Help>About Outlook Express.
A possible reason for your Menu List is too low a Resolution Rate. Rt
click on Desktop Screen and select Properties>Settings>Screen
Resolution>move the slider to at least 800x600 or 1024x768 Click Apply Ok.

If you want to make your menu lists narrower, edit the long menu names so
something shorter. The menu list will only be as wide as the longest menu
item. Some programs install with excessively long menu names, more than you
need to identify the program. Just right click on the menu item and select
edit.
