menu bar in Word 2003

My friend has recently installed word 2003 on his brand new computer. After
only a couple of weeks his word 2003 window has changed. On the menu bar
where it normally says: File, Edit, View etc. He now has File, and then 7
instances of Tools.

Can anyone give me any ideas what has happened and why? He has never been
on the internet so I can't see how a virus would be the problem. I'm open to
suggestions.

Hi

Can your friend still 'Help'? If so, try 'Detect and Repair'. If not try a
'Reinstall or Repair' via Add/Remove Programs.
