What does it mean when taskbar flashes a help sign and
states "virtual memory too low"? windows will regroup
files or something. What do i need to do.?
Thank-you

This can sometime be just a flaw in some programs. In
general it is best to have 512MB of RAM and then in most
cases set your virtual memory(pagefile) to system managed
size. In my case I have a start of 150MB and a max of
1500MB. This is on a 40Gig hard drive. go>start\control
panel\system\advanced tab-performance-setting
button\advanced tab\virtual memory-change button and then
set it the way you want. Some will agrue that you don't
need 512MB of RAM. But those are the ones just looking for
an arguement. RAM is cheap and today's graphic intensive
apps are sucking up more RAM by the day. So start big and
then have fewer problems. Keep smiling.

Rt click on MyComputer>Select
Properties>Advanced>Performance-Settings>Advanced>Virtual Memory-Change.
Click on Custom Size In Initial Size box enter 600, In Max Size
box enter 600, click on Set, Ok.

Read up at www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm and see if any of he 'problems'
may be relevant. I have heard that this can also arise from a problem
with NAV 2004, if it happens soon after boot, but have not had direct
confirmation
