Memory Virus Alert

I have this pesty virus alert popping up on my computer that has lodged itself into memory. It is a ploy to get me to purchase spyware software for fifty bucks. I am not doing that as I have sufficient software for spyware. Does anyone know how I can rid myself of this?

The alert is coming from the malware. Go through the preparatory steps here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Then go through the specific steps here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Smitfraud_Trojan

Go through the rest of the general malware removal steps from the first
link, making sure you also do the finishing work.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional computer repair
shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
