Memory usage Mcafee Virusscan Enterprise 8.0.0

Hi everybody,

recently we have upgraded our w2k server (with IIS and Exchange 5.5)
to McAfee Virusscan Enterprise 8.0.0. After a couple of days we were
running into huge problems with the memory usage. The pool of
non-paged bytes was growing every night at the same time. We found out
that at this certain time the default task of scanning all fixed disk
drives started. The problem is reproducable. After starting the server
the first full scan will rise the amount of non-paged memory by three.
After that it slows down, but every scan will make it rising.

I don't need that function but anyway I want to know if somebody else
has this problem?

It's a known issue (memory leak) - you need to install a patch for VS8.

Anyway, Mcafee 8.0 uses about 43MB RAM in background and that is TO MUCH!
