memory upgrades and stuff

There Might be better deals at less respected merchants, but that is
significantly less than what I paid. I have been using 1 GB in
Windows XP and that is more than enough so far.

Does that memory work in socket 754 and the newer socket 939?

Will mainboards that use DDR2 also use DDR?

DDR2 slots are NOT compatible with DDR. They use a different number of
pins.

Different number of pins AND the slots on the ram are actually placed
differently.
