Memory Upgrade

We upgraded our machine from 1GB to 4GB memory. The
memory is deteced but booting windows fails saying bios
upgrade required?
What needs to be done ?
 
Check the manufacturer's site and check for BIOS updates. If it's an old
BIOS, it could have problems handling memory above a certain size. See if
the BIOS updates after your current one show fixes for large memory models.
