My mainboard supports PC2700 (DDR333) / PC2100 (DDR266) and will support
PC2700(DDR333) at FSB 533MHz.

I want upgrade memory and install 1GB. So the required memory is 1GB 333MHZ
DDR NON-ECC CL2.5 DIMM.

Can I use 400MHz RAM module instead of 333MHz?(it much cheaper) Will it work
properly? Or better use 333MHz DDR?

Hi,

My (Apple) iBook:
-900MHz PowerPC G3 processor with 512K on-chip level 2 cache running at
full processor speed
-100MHz system bus
-One of the following memory configurations:
—128MB of SDRAM built in
—256MB total of SDRAM (128MB built in and 128MB in SO-DIMM slot)
-Single 1.25-inch standard SO-DIMM slot (3.3V) supports up to a 512MB
SO- DIMM for a total of 640MB of SDRAM
-40GB Ultra ATA hard disk drive

My question is-if I will expand my memory up to 640MB of SDRAM, doest
it make sense of making my computer more faster. Anybody's advice is
really appreciated. Thank you God bless.

Regards,

Olan

You should be asking about Apple/Mac hardware on an Apple/Mac help
group. This is a Microsoft Windows help group.
